Nov 26 - Complete all mail order shopping ()TimeSaver Mall
Nov. 27 - Make room for mittens coats hats,etc.Declare a home for these items so they are not strewn about. A basket by the door for hats and mittens really helps.

Nov. 28 - Begin now to make a Holiday chore jar with red & green paper . write "shovel snow" ,"pick up puppy doo", etc. Put a reward jar next to it with fun things in it or a small candy treat. This can be adapted as a "honey do" list for your sweety too!

Nov. 29 - Go over Christmas calendar together. Know who needs treats for school,church,scouts & on what day. Note christmas plays,invitations,etc. Print this list out ,or make your own family chart of the following activities. Get out the advent calendar

Nov. 30 - Seasonal sights & sounds : Wash Christmas dishes and serving pieces. Put into use. Begin to play your favorite Christmas music.

Dec. 1 - Get out all decorations. And what it will take to put them in place. EX: tape, thumb tacks, nails,etc. Do you have enough spare extension cords, battery etc?

Dec. 2 - Get out all favorite recipes & shop for their ingrediants. You may want a special Red or green folder for this. You can keep it from year to year. Make your grocery list on an envelope. Put the coupons you'll be using inside the envelope.

Dec. 3 - Make sure you have all the mailing and wrapping supplies you'll be needing. Stamps,wrap boxes, tape ,labels (return address and gift tags ),newsletters, cards. Set up a wrapping station basket with paper, bows, tape and scissors. Send out of state packages.

Dec. 4 -Price/ obtain/clean center pieces now. Have friends celebrating hanukkah? Give a gift of gold candy coins. Let them know you are thinking of them.

Dec. 5 - List different meal ideas and tape into a cabinet.

Dec. 6 - Start a christmas bag that you can take with you in the event you have to wait the Dr.s office ,in the car,etc. Fill with a few C'mas cards,stamps, calculator, list pad,knitting,or something you can work on in few minutes.Carry packets of baby wipes in your purse for dirty or sticky faces and hands

Dec. 7 - Buy film and take making a memory type photos and videos. These can become a gift for grandparents/ family/friends far away.

Dec. 8 - Keep healthy snacks on hand like raw vegetables. Too many sweets will not only make you sleepy but often dehydrated.

Dec. 9 - Make sure that now you are getting enough sleep.Establish an earlier bedtime so you can get more rest. Figure out breakfasts BEFORE you go to bed so you can sleep in a little.

Dec. 10 - No guilt day. Buy already made pies. Hire a baby sitter or make plans to. Buy throw away plates and cups. Put goopy facial stuff on. Say no. Buy ice cubes. Hot oil treat your hair. Get a hair cut. Buy gift certifcates. Take a frothy bubble bath.

Dec. 11 - Try saying grace,start declaring what you're thankful for Put a cheerful smile on.You'd be suprised how that can really be a mood changer.

Dec. 12 - Buy food for get togethers. (see the printable grocery list).Do any cooking ahead of time that you can. Make room in your freezer for cook ahead items. Waffles,muffins,sauces and chili freeze well.

Dec. 13 - Plan to travel?Double check departure & arrival times.Get non-messy snacks for the travel. Dont forget those baby/personal wipes.

Dec. 14 - Get clothes ready for Christmas events -be sure sure last years tights, shoes, etc, still fit .

Dec. 15 - Make Christmas donations now. Teach the importance of being thankful and not greedy. Dont wait till your out of money or spirit to help the less fortunate. Besides it helps if you take tax deductions.

Dec. 16 -Laugh alot.Get enough bright light to stave off any holiday blues! Rent "christmas vacation," or read humorous greeting cards at the store .

Dec 17 - Get your vitamin "C" quotient with fresh oranges and apple cider. Work in a work out so you stay vibrant and healthy!

Dec. 18 -Share about the 3 kings and how they began their journey and why! ( book of Matthew ,chapter 2 )Read the story of Jesus' birth, found in Luke, Chapter Two. save up to 80% off

Dec. 19 - Beat the the last minute shopper rush by getting the last of yoour gifts now. Get items from layaway. Line up baby sitters for last minute shopping. (see babysitter helplist )

Dec. 20 - Do last minute wrapping. And cook ahead treats. Again buy Ice if you need to ,to save time

Dec. 21 -Clean bathrooms and put out guest towels and yummy flavored soap. Yes you can even decorate that bath room if you want. Wouldnt the smell of pine be great in there?

Dec. 22 - Have plenty of hot drink items available. Designer (flavored) coffee also makes a neat drop in gift for the unexpected gift givers. Make sure you have enough dishes and seating for any guests.

Dec. 23 - Check times for Christmas Eve services. Mark on calendar. Bake a birthday cake for Jesus. Decorate with stars,shredded wheat and a baby. Share the share story of the sheperds :Read an illustrated Christmas story, read from a children's Bible. One of my favorites in Charles Dickens' a "Christmas carol ". A Cup of Christmas Tea" is a very special book about being too busy

Dec. 24 - Celebrate the Spirit: Light a candle and say what Christmas means to you. Make a vow to honor all that is dear to you & your loved ones. Forgive someone. Make amends.Pick a Scripture verse to live by, sing your favorite Christmas hymns. This sets the tone for Christmas day and the rest of the year!.

Dec. 25 - Prolonging the Joy: How about opening a present or 2 every 1/2 hour? Set a timer for the next gift to be opened . This gives time to appreciate and give thanks for what was given instead of ripping everything open in frenzy till its done.

Dec. 26 - Make the goodies last. Freeze left overs and christmas goodies so you're not tempted to binge on stuff thats not healthy. Put away travel things- use softener sheets to keep suitcases from smelling "old".
